Sounds of June: Niall Horan, New Artist Discoveries, and Fontaines D.C.'s Latest Release

June burst onto the scene with a bang! We were lucky enough to catch Niall Horan live for the first time, where his performance hilariously coincided with the prolonged departure of a train, blending his beautiful voice with unexpected background noise. It was a memorable moment! We also attended an event hosted by "Louder Than Love," where we discovered talented new artists who impressed us with their energy and skill. And, of course, Fontaines D.C.'s latest song "Favourite" has been our anthem, playing at least 10 times a day—we just can't get enough! June has been a whirlwind, and we couldn't wait to share all the highlights with you.

Niall Horan's "The Show Live On Tour": A Night to Remember

Niall Horan's "The Show Live On Tour" delivered an unforgettable experience at the Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater on June 18th. The night started with an energetic set from Del Water Gap, perfectly setting the stage for what was to come and also very much fitting the vibes of being in his “Hot Rat Boy Summer” era. As Niall took the stage, the crowd erupted, ready for a performance exceeding all expectations.

Niall's setlist was a perfect blend of fan favorites and new tracks from "The Show," each song delivered with incredible passion and energy. The highlight of the evening was a nostalgic, show-stopping rendition of One Direction's "Night Changes," sparking a singalong that nearly shook the amphitheater. If it wasn't obvious by now, we are Directioners till our grave.

Moments like these remind us why we continue to follow their solo careers so closely. I can still remember how we thought the world was going to end when Zayn left the band, and we also remember where we were when they announced they were taking a "hiatus." The fact that we believed it was only going to be for 18 months should tell you how delusional we can be sometimes. But this should give you a clear idea of how much joy it brings us whenever any of the guys reference their days in One Direction.

Niall's fans were dressed to impress, sporting everything from cowboy boots and flowing skirts to sparkling dresses and Irish flag shirts. The crowd's attire added to the festive atmosphere. A special mention goes to the girl who came up to us and gave us friendship bracelets she had made. You truly made our night, and we want to thank you for your kindness.

We genuinely believe that the reason concerts are so unforgettable is because of the people who attend them. Yes, the artists are amazing, but moments like these make live music so much more meaningful.

Louder Than Love Event

Groupies! We just got invited to our first event. A big shout-out to Ahmad, based in Connecticut, who handles bookings for concerts and events. He reached out to see if we’d be interested in attending, and of course, we said yes. It featured live music from local artists, with a punk/rock vibe, and one of our favorite bands, T!LT, was performing. This event was right up our alley!

The night kicked off with Impound, a band that brought a strong punk/alternative rock vibe to the stage. Their raw energy was contagious, and their electrifying performance set the tone for an incredible night of music. When we got home, we immediately dove into their discography and quickly became huge fans of their song "Say It All."

Soft Spot added a unique twist to the evening by recording a music video during their performance. We wondered if it was for their new song "Use Me," which has been gaining traction lately. The anticipation in the air was palpable as the band played, making the audience feel like they were part of something special. Following them was Autumn Rhythm, a New York-based band that recently released their album "Nothing Gold." Their indie rock vibes were a perfect addition to the night, and their performance seamlessly combined fresh tracks with a touch of nostalgia.

Finally, T!LT took the stage, and their lead singer’s sockless entrance immediately caught our attention. Despite the quirky start, they delivered an outstanding performance with an incredible stage presence. Their new album "Death Do Us Part" was a pleasant surprise, blending country elements with their signature punk rock style. The cowboy hat-wearing cat on the album cover might have hinted at this unexpected fusion, we can't wait to hear more of it live. The event, created by Louder Than Love and partnered with Art Monster Studio, brought an amazing atmosphere that made the night truly great. If you ever have the chance to attend a concert like this, don’t miss it!

Favourite by Fontaines D.C.

I've been loving the singles that have dropped this year, but none hit as hard as "Favourite" by Fontaines D.C. We first heard this song live back in May during their one-night promotion in New York, and we were left buzzing with excitement. The guitar riff kept circling in our heads for weeks, building anticipation for its official release. And let me tell you, it didn't disappoint, groupies.

The lyrics are so relatable, especially when Grian, the lead singer, reflects, "And each new day, I get another year older." It's like he's grappling with time catching up, both metaphorically and literally. Lines like "Every time you blink you feel a change" resonate deeply, capturing the feeling of life rushing by and the fleeting nature of moments spent alone. Listening to this song while driving brought back nostalgic memories and a sense of freedom, like escaping reality for a moment.

I can't stress enough how excited we are for their upcoming album dropping in August. Fontaines D.C. has captured something raw and real with "Favourite," and we can't wait to see what else they have in store for us.

June has been fulfilling, and we're eagerly anticipating what July will bring. As always, groupies, we'd love to hear your thoughts!

All our love,

Your Favorite Groupies
